TERRANOVA TESTING (grades K-9): April 28-May 1 / Friday, May 2 - Makeup Day
This is a standardized Achievement Test and will be given along with InView in some grades for further assessment. During the week of the test, your child should:
· Get plenty of rest and eat a good breakfast! Brain health is enhanced by a good night's sleep; that matters a great deal.
· To take tests well, the brain needs a constant supply of energy (e.g. glucose, oxygen, nutrients). Eat a good breakfast of either complex carbs (oatmeal) or proteins (eggs, breakfast meats, and yogurt). Avoid: fruits, fruit juices (fructose is not helpful) and stay away from carbs that surge the sugar (e.g. processed cereals, pastries and breads).
· Bring two number 2 pencils.
· Arrive at school on time! The test begins first thing in the morning.
· Try to be present each day. Avoid doctor and dentist appointments during these days.
